CIPP’s overall mission is to advance the rigor of evaluation activities conducted by or for OSEP-funded projects so the results may be used to improve project performance and inform OSEP’s funding decisions and strategic planning.

Project Evaluation Technical Assistance
CIPP provides technical assistance (TA) in evaluation and performance measurement to grantees under four programs (Parent Centers, Technical Assistance and Dissemination, Education Technology Media and Materials, and Personnel Development).

GPRA Data and Reporting
CIPP provides support to OSEP in conducting Government Performance and Results Modernization Act (GPRA) measurement.

Project Mid-Term (3+2) Reviews
CIPP provides support to OSEP in conducting 3+2 Reviews, where an external panel of experts evaluates the work that selected grantees have completed and recommends any mid-course corrections.

New CIPP TA Product Now Available
This technical assistance product provides an overview of evaluation designs that are commonly used in OSEP projects. The interactive modules contain information about the strengths and weaknesses of different designs, how to incorporate extant data into evaluations, and ways to move forward if your evaluation is disrupted by a pandemic or other events.
